The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF)  was founded in the fall of 2000 by a number of residents of the Island who were interested in the welfare of animals.  On March 19,  2001 the organization was officially registered under The Friendly Societies Act, CAP. 121 of the laws of Anguilla.

It is an all-volunteer service organization with no paid positions.

The General membership meets at least once per year in April.  Additional meetings may be held as necessary to update members on progress and plans of the organization.

At least quarterly, a newsletter is produced on line to keep members and interested individuals up to date on the organization•s• activities.
