The AARF logo shows three animals on a yellow AARF life raft, floating on the sea with gray clouds; sunlight peeks down on them, representing hope.

Map to Roy’s Bayside Grill in Sandy Ground

Roy’s is a great restaurant right on the Sandy Ground beach with full bar, entertainment, wi–fi and more.

Plus Roy, Mandy and great staff all support AARF in a big way and have done so for many, many years.

See the Bayside Grill web site with menus, photos and other details; there is also a Facebook page. The Friday night Happy Hour and dinner special is hugely popular. It starts at 5:30 p.m and many of the expats can be found there. There is even a webcam for those missing out on an Anguillian view.

Roy’s Bayside Grill is located in Sandy Ground, right before you reach the shipping pier at the port. To get there, take the road from the roundabout towards Sandy Ground. As you drive down the hill, the salt pond will be on the right.

At the end of the pond, the road curves around to the right and just when it straightens out, there is sort of a Y intersection. One part goes to the left while the other continues more or less straight ahead to the center of Sandy Ground.

Take the street to the left.

It goes to the port and main jetty; Roy’s will be the last business on the right before going into the port facility; it has a small parking lot (but there is plenty of other parking on the other side of the street.

The main port and jetty are used by the larger ships delivering goods to Anguilla. On most days, expect to pass many trucks parked on the road waiting to enter the port. Carefully drive past them to turn into the parking lot.

Warning: Do not enter the port area.

We couldn’t resist a Google Earth shot which shows the salt pond and fork in the road nicely:
